The UMARY is in the US. Incredibly, once the shipper got here he took off for Stockton to visit relatives. Or at least that’s the story. I think it’s punishment. He wanted to increase his fee by 70% over the agreed price, which I flatly refused to pay. I pay in cash on delivery, so if he wants the cash he will deliver. And I know he wants the cash. UMARY’s coming, never fear.
Yes, this guy is being replaced once this transaction is over.
Regarding membership: As you are no doubt aware the FDA has issued warnings about UMARY and UMOVY because they contain diclofenac, an ingredient not listed on the label and which is not illegal but is restricted as it requires a doctor’s prescription. If you read the latest blog post you already know all this.
But because it is frowned on by the FDA online payment systems will not process electronic payments for purchases of these items. To evade this restriction I implemented the Private Membership Association, selling not UMARY or UMOVY but a membership in the Association one of whose benefits is access to UMARY and UMOVY. PayPal had no problem processing payments for an Association membership until the FDA flagged UMOVY. They then permanently closed my PayPal account. Consequently I am no longer able to process payments electronically.
Membership in the Association when considered in the abstract has no specific expiration date, an issue that I failed to consider when I set it up. Practically what it means that in order to receive your completely free UMARY you must renew your membership at whatever level necessary to obtain the desired quantity of UMARY. Technically, I suppose, since membership entitles you to obtain UMARY, the membership expires when the UMARY you asked for is received in your mailbox. The mambership must then be renewed when you want more.
Once PayPal closed my account I had the option of simply closing down or developing some other way to accept payment for memberships. The method I have devised is clunky but workable. It is a LOT more work for me, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles. Believe me, I regret the inconvenience too!
