Is UMOVY an effective replacement for UMARY?

For months, ever since the whole ‘hidden ingredient’ issue cropped up,  I’ve been telling you that I was on the lookout for a suitable replacement for UMARY.  Recently I told you that I might have found it.  Last time I mentioned that I had such a product in hand, UMONVY, but that I had not tried it myself.  Well, now I’ve tried it, here are my observations.

First, a review of the list of ingredients.  Yes, I know, UMARY, according the the FDA and Health Canada, contains unlisted ingredients, notably Diclofenac.  Nevertheless, ingredients do matter, and in the absence of a detailed breakdown of ingredients provided by these government agencies, we have nothing to go on but the manufacturer’s list provided on the label.

UMARY
Hyaluronic acid,
Curcumal collagen (Curcuma Longa),
Dwarf Nettle (Urtica Urens),
Chondroitin,
Vitamin E,
Oxide of Magnesium,
Calcium Carbonate,
MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane),
Black Ash (Fraxinus Nigral),
Bay Cedar (Gauzuma Ulmifolia),
White Oak (Quercussubspathulato)

UMOVY
Hyaluronic Acid
Hydrolized collagen type 2
Tumeric (Curauma longa)
Glucosamine Sulfate
Chondroitin
Methylsulfonylmethane
Ginger (Zingiber officinale)
Magnesium Citrate
Calcium Carbonate
Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol)

Just looking at the list we can see that there are some ingredients in common, notably Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen and Chondroitin.  I expected that there would be shared ingredients, especially the major ones, Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen, no surprise there.  I am surprised that there should be so little commonality among the other ingredients.  I have said all along that I am not a medical guy, nor somebody who has been super health conscious generally, so I can’t comment on the effects of these ingredients on the human body.  I’m sure that a lot of you guys out there are keenly aware of what these substances are and will know exactly the effect that each has.  From the point of view of chemical analysis this is about all I can say.

I have frequently reminded you guys that every body, while the same in the larger biological perspective, is individually different.  Things which cause no reaction in one person will trigger a strong reaction in others.  This is why I urge you guys to pay attention to your body’s reaction to what you put in it.  One man’s meat is anther man’s poison, the old saying goes (or as a history professor I once had in college said, one man’s Meade is another man’s Persian).  So just as with UMARY, which controlled everybody’s pain, but to which some people had allergic reactions although most did not, pay attention and be responsible for yourself.

All that being said, here are my observations, having taken UMOVY as needed for the last week and a half.  UMOVY is effective in controlling my pain.  I experienced no side effects of any kind.  This is very much in line with my UMARY experience.  The UMOVY pill is not as “sophisticated” as UMARY.  I mean that the UMOVY pill is chalky and has a distinct (and to me distinctly unpleasant) “chemical” taste.  The taste did not persist after I had swallowed it, there was no lingering after taste nor did it cause any digestive unpleasantness.

Is UMOVY an effective replacement for UMARY?  It seems so to me.

I know that some of you guys have been asking me about UMOVY.  I waited to answer you until I had some experience of the product so as to provide an answer based on personal experience rather than mere speculation.  As soon as I send this to everybody I am going to update the member benefits page, making UMOVY available on the same terms as UMARY.

UMOVY is slightly more expensive, reflecting my own costs of acquisition.  I see that it has been offered elsewhere on the internet at prices ranging from $35 to $45, though nobody seems (as of a couple of days ago) to have any in stock.  I have it and it is immediately available to you.

As always, I am grateful for your continued membership and look forward to hearing from you.  The Ravishing Wife and I continue to pray for y’all and wish you joyful, pain free lives.

Best,

Leo

  1. I use the Hyaluronic every other day. Alone it helps some but if I want similar effects of UMARY , I have to add ibuprophen. So it seems to be missing that special something.

  2. I have been taking UMary since the last of April with no problems other than I cannot go without it. It has changed my life!! Having rheumatoid arthritis in all my joints ,I can actually move without hurting now. I have a prescription for diclofenac…which k no longer take since it’s in the UMary. I’m so very glad I found you and thank you for all you do!!

    1. Dean;
The last order I have from you was on July 8. looks like your September 1 order did not go through. Did you get a confirmation screen when you ordered?

  3. Leo,
Is it possible to get an accurate ingredient analysis of Umary from the Manufacturer as to Diclofenac or any other non listed ingredient?

  4. I have found a replacement for UMARY, it is HIALU and am taking it with no side effects. It lists the exact same ingredients, comes 60 caplets to the bottle, and is made in India instead of Mexico.
